Our Presentation
This session provides an overview of treatment options for depression, anxiety and ADHD. The presentation will cover FDA-approved treatments, as well as other common clinical options. Designed to increase the knowledge base of psychotherapists regarding the medications that are used to treat depression, anxiety and ADHD, this workshop provides an opportunity for local therapists to explore and to ask questions regarding treatment options.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Describe benefits and three common side effects of medication used in the pharmacological treatment and management of depression, anxiety, and/or ADHD in adults.
- List two common clinical options in the treatment and management of depression, anxiety, and/or ADHD in adults.
About Our Presenter
Alma C. Ritsema RN, MSN, PMHNP-BC, graduated from the University of California San Francisco in 2006. She has worked in both outpatient clinic settings and hospital settings and treated a variety of mental health conditions for adults. She works in collaboration with therapists, other mental health providers and primary care providers. In April of 2022 Alma started to work in private practice. www.manresawellness.com/.
